Font Notes:
The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 5 March 2021] notes: "San Nicolás de Bari es el titular de su iglesia, de una nave con restos románicos y bóvedas de medio cañón. [...] El ábside es rectangular, liso. La portada es románica", but mentions no font in it." Baptismal font of stone consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a conical pedestal base; the font is totally plain and is of very crude workmanship; much damaged. No cover present. We have not been able to locate any information on this object; it may be the old font of this church, or the font from the nearby 'ermita' [now, 2020, a private dwelling] or even a font brought from an abandoned church in the area. [cf. BSI entry forTeza de Losa No. 2 for the font in use in this church]
