The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 16 February 2021] notes: "Su iglesia, dedicada a la Asunción de Nuestra Señora, es barroca, de 1650 [...] Sus libros parroquiales dan comienzo en 1631"; it mentions no font in it; the fact that the parish registers start earlier than the date of the construction of the present church may suggest that an earlier church existed in its place. [NB: we have no information on the baptismal font here]
