The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 13 February 2021] notes: "Su iglesia parroquial actual está dedicada a la Asunción de Nuestra Señora, le-vantada a finales del siglo XVIII [...] la pila de bautismo es románica, rústica y popular [...] Conserva en la parte alta del pueblo lo que queda de la que fue antigua parroquia [...] dedicada a Nuestra Señora del Páramo, ahora convertida en ermita de San Isidro, con estructura románica". This baptismal font probably originates in the old parish church dedicated to Santa Lucía, which, after the building of the present parish church in the 18th century, became a rural chapel and cemetery.
