Church Notes: medieval church demolished and replaced by present 16th and 18thC church
The present baptismal font in this church is described as Neoclassical [cf. infra] and may be dated wo the 18th-century re-building of the original medieval church here. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 1 February 2021] notes: "iglesia dedicada a San Miguel Arcángel, renacentista, de una nave rectangular con bóvedas nervadas del XVI [...] torre cuadrada del XVI a la que antepusieron en el XVIII una espadaña barroca de dos cuerpos, con tres huecos [...] La pila es neoclásica con decoración grecorromana y pie rectangular".
