Noted and illustrated in Hallbäck (1966) and Hallbäck (1971) as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the 12th century by master Andreas. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920527F2] as a baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1200 by a regional workshop. The SHM entry refers to Hallbäck's attribution to master Andreas and remarks on the similarity of the decoration on this font to the one at nearby Böne. The roughly cylindrical basin is decorated with a pattern of linked 2-strand circles; the splaying base has a rope moulding atop, a pattern of saw-tooth or zig-zag and a roll moulding. No cover present now but a flat, round and plain wooden lid shows in one of the early photographs of the font. [NB: the medieval font, originally from the demolished old church, appears to have been located in the northeast corner of the nave of the new church, but later moved to the southeast corner where it now [2020] stands].
