Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920612F3] as the surviving baptismal font from the medieval church of Gringi, of which only the 13th-century sandstone hemispherical basin is original, a regional work; the SHM forther notes that the font is now [2003] located in the site of the demolished parish church of Fristad [="funten är placerad i Fristads kyrkoruin"].
