The Enciclopedia del romanico has an entry for this Miñón [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/burgos_MIÑÓN.pdf] [accessed 23 March 2023] notes the parish church itself as 12th-century: "obra del más popular estilo románico de un no muy avanzado siglo XII, resultando complicado afinar una cronología más precisa", but mentions no font in it. The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 23 March 2023] notes: "iglesia, de corte románico [...] Su ábside es románico [...] La portada es románica de transición [...] La pila es románica sin adornos y pie cuadrado." The baptismal font in this church consists of a basin between bucket and hemispherical shape, raised on a short quadrangular base; the font has been painted and has a large Greek fleurdelysée / Alcántara? / Calatrava? cross on the side now facing south as the only decoration; the basin, which retains the metal locking cross-bar from an earlier cover, has damage to the upper rim on the east side, the type of damage usually caused by the metal staples splitting the stone. No cover present. [NB: the font could be a composite as the base and basin do not really jibe together].
