Only the base of the medieval font of this church has survived; it is documented in a 1943 B&W photograph by Ivar Schnell, in the Kulturmiljöbild, Riksantikvarieämbetet [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Fors_kyrka_(Eskilstuna_Fors)_-_KMB_-_16000200093923.jpg] [accessed 10 December 2020]; in that photograph the base, said to be made of granite, is located outside, in the open air. Noted also in Norberg (1944). This same surviving base is noted and illustrated by Bennett and Edenheim in Sveriges Kyrkor (vol. 168, 1976: 51-52, 104): "Medeltida dopfuntsfot av granit (fig. 49). Överst en kraftig repstav och därunder ett halvsfäriskt parti. Centralt urtappningshål. Höjd ca 40 cm, diameter ca. 75 cm. Sannolikt 1100-talet. Jfr t ex funten i Veckholm, Uppland (SvK Up Bd Vlll:I, s 90)." Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 930814F1] as the base of a baptismal font made of sandstone [not granite, cf. supra] ca. 1200 in a mid-Sweden workshop. [NB: the present font is modern [https://fr-fr.facebook.com/pages/Fors-kyrka-Eskilstuna/857029114336312] [accessed 10 December 2020]
