Font Notes:
The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 15 February 2021] notes: "hermoso edificio de traza románica de finales del siglo XII. Está dedicado a San Martín, obispo [...] Su ábside es románico [...] la portada es románica apuntada, con zig-zag y arquitos en las cinco arquivoltas, del siglo XII"; it does not mention a font in it. A medieval baptismal font of stone is now in use as raintrough attached to one of the houses in the village; it consists of a large roughly hemispherical basin with convex ribbed pattern on the outside, and concave, but almost worn, concave ribbed pattern on the inside of the basin; it has a centre drain hole; raised on a short circular base in which a large drain hole has been added. No cover present. [NB: we have been unable to ascertain whether or not this belonged inside the parish church of Arenillas de Villadiego, or which font is in use in this church].
