The entry for this little [ca. 5 x 11 m.] church in Petit-Patrimoine [www.petit-patrimoine.com/fiche-petit-patrimoine.php?id_pp=65473_1] [accessed 28 October 2020] notes: "Ce petit sanctuaire fut construit à la fin du XVIIe siècle. There are two objects in this chapel that may have originated in the nearby priory of St-Orens en Lavedans; one, a multiple capital and base originally from the cloister of the priory, is now serving as holy-water stoup in the rural chapel of Artiac; the capital is square at the top, and it is made of five capitals carved from a sigle block of stone; the supporting columns are were made of wood when the capital was re-used as stoup; the base, itself made originally with five bases to match the five components of the capital, is also made of a single square block of stone. According to the entry for the priory entry in the municipal pages in Villelongue [www.villelongue.fr/sauvetage-de-saint-orens-commune-de-villelongue_fr.html] [accessed 28 October 2020] the stoup was constructed from the old cloister pieces in the 18th century [="Chapiteau quintuple décoré de têtes de moines alternant avec des boutons de feuillage, avec sa base, le tout provenant du cloître.
