Church Notes: present church 1870-1872 built less than 1 km southwest of the demolished medieval church; restored 1931-1932
Noted in Reutersvärd (1967) and in Hallbäck (1971). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920528F1] as a 'musselcuppstyp' baptismal font made of sandstone ca. 1300; te SHM entry remarks that, although very similar to the Gotland type, it is actually made of local sandstone from Västergötland; the quatrefoiled basin sides are decorated with sixteen ribs and four protruding heads set at 90-degree angles below a torus-scotia at the upper rim; the centre ring quatrefoiled moulding is part of the stem block and the lower base is a separate block; no drain holes. No cover present.
