The entry for this village in Emiliano Nebreda Perdiguero [www.archiburgos.es/wp-content/uploads/amo-a-mi-pueblo.pdf] [accessed 14 February 2021] notes: "La iglesia parroquial, dedicada a Santa Eulalia de Mérida, situada en lo más alto, dominando el pueblo, es renacentista [...] La pila bautismal es renacentista con gran copa acanalada". Baptismal font of stone consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin raised on a round baluster-shape pedestal base and a tiny square plinth; the basin has horizontal mouldings and vertival concex ribbed pattern; the top of the pedestal base has ear-shaped foliage at the top, like handles, and a moulding on the stem. No cover present.
