Church Notes: late Kinghts Templar church, late-13 to early-14thC, said to have been built on the remains of a Muslim fortress [alcazaba]; ceded to the Kights Hospitaller after the demise of the Templars; later still to the Orden de Santa María de Montesa; papal see of Benedict XIII (Papa Luna) in 1411
Holy-water stoup of stone wall-mounted on the east side of the south entranceway threshold of this chapel/church; the outer side is conical in shape, with a flat moulding at the top of the basin side.
