Font Notes:
Two fonts are reported in this church: a late-13th century font from the medieval church, and a later one from 1662. The font in use appears monolithic and plain all over, a roughly hemispherical basin on a broad pedestal base, also round. No cover present. The entry for this church in Håkan Bergström's page [www.hosserudkullen.se/forskning/kyrka_gun_se_skarstad.html] [accessed 3 August 2020] reports two baptismal fonts and an additional font fragment, and states that the limestone font in use is from 1662 [="Kyrkan äger två dopfuntar och ytterligare funtfragrnent. En av funtarna är från medeltiden. Den i bruk varande dopfunten är av kalksten och tillverkad 1662."]. [NB: odd font for 1662; is this correct?]
