The present font in this modern church is medieval, said to be originally from the demolished church at nearby Smula; it was badly damaged and shows now extensive repairs, whole sections of the basin are new stone replacements; believed to have had a centre drain originally. No cover present. [NB: we have no information on the medieval font from the demolished 12th-century church at Norra Åsarp]. No entry found in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld for Norra Åsarp, Smula or Åsarp
