Noted in Hallbäck (1971). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920618F1] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the secong half of the 12th century by a regional hand. Photographs of ca. 1900 show the medieval font used as the base support of the pulpit, but a restoration in the 1930s removed both font and pulpit, introduced a new pulpit, and restored the old font to its liturgical function. The font consists of a cylindrical basin decorated with with a fine pair of facing dragongs with a male peacock between them; the bodies of the dragons become a large winding vine all around the basin sides, framed up and down by rope mouldings; in the vine appear a little bird and a tiny worm as well; raised on a circular moulded base. No font cover present.
