Baptismal font consisting of a basin with an inner well of roughly hemispherical shape; it ihas been built into the north wall, tawrds the west end of the church, just east of the confessional; the niche is enclosed in a pair of doors that close the space; there is a centre drain in the well. [...] La cuve baptismale est en granit." Despite above claim baptismal fonts are often enclosed in wooden cabinets or enclosures in France, from the grand complex baldaquins found in Brittany to the more modest enclosures in the eastern Pyrenean region where this church is located. The same can be said of fonts that are built into interior walls making them look like lavabos or piscinae.
