Baptismal font of stone, consisting of a roughly hemispherical basin decorated flat-rib apptern all around the sides and undebowl, with a round moulding at the upper rim; the upper rim surface has a very flat moulding all around, and there are two metal staples there from an earlier font cover; the stem of the base is a round column with roll mouldings at both ends; the short narrow lower base or plinth is square; the font is raised on a larger plinth. No cover present. The basin and base are of different colour stone and may belong to different periods, but the older part, the basin, does not look like it would belong to the 12th-century date of the church, but much later. [NB: we have no information on the original font of this church; there is a font in one of the nearby ermitas [cf. BSI entry for Hontoria de Valdearados No. 2], a font found buried nearby].
