Font Notes:
A photograph taken in July 2020 by Pedro Novella [cf. ImagesArea] shows what appears to be the stone basin of a baptismal font; it is a large fragment, and it is now used on a round pedestal block outside the church, in the porch, as planter; the basin is roughly hemispherical and decorated with braod ribs all around; it has large damage visible at the front, and large areas missing at the back as well; it is set on a cylindrical stone with some eroded carving on its sides, probably not the original base for the basin on it. No information is available at present whether this object was part of the church here, or brought over from somewhere else. [NB: if the dates were compatible, could the font in the porch have been damaged early on and replaced by the one now inside the church?]. [cf. BSI entry for Murieta No. 1 for the medieval baptismal font in the interior]
