Church Notes: stone church of ca. 1200 my have replaced a wooden one; expanded late-18thC with detached belfry added in 1740; modified 19thC
Noted in Hallbäck (1971). Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920615F4] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in a regional workshop ca. 1200. The font consists of a tub-shaped, cylindrical with an elongated rounded underbowl, with a band of decoration that has a well-rendered acanthus vine framed in two falt mouldings all around; the base is squat, round-to-square in shape, with a worn moulding at the round neck. No cover present.
