Church Notes: medieval church at Stenstorp demolished early-19thC together with those at ; all three replaced with one new church in Sternstorp in 1817; restored in 1931 and 1957
Noted in Hallbäck (1971). Baptismal font of sandstone, originally from the demolished medieval church at Stenstorp; it consists of a cylindrical basin with a running acanthus vine framed between rope mouldings all around the basin sides; raised on a round moulded pedestal base. The font was installed in the newly built church in 1817. No cover present. Noted and illustrated in the SHM Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920507F2] as a baptismal font made of sandstone by a provincial workshop ca. 1200.
