Ubicación: Acceso Siglo XII-XIII Estilo: Románico Editor: Fondo Arantza Cuesta Ezeiza Gipuzkoa" -- said to be originally from nearby Galartza; they have an incoherent appearance, as the base does not match the basin at all [cf. Font Notes:
Baptismal font here mentioned as reference in Arantza Cuesta Ezeiza's entry for the font at Arcarazo, in Gure Gipuzkoa [www.guregipuzkoa.eus/es?lang=es&paged=1&s=pila+bautismal#gallery/759716a5c1b6f245765792f1e7d1bae1/147587/comments] [accessed 9 June 2020] as being related to the ones at nearby Escoriaza and Arcarazo. Noted and illustrated in Cuesta Ezeiza's entry for two identical fonts in the cemetery of Apozaga / Apotzaga [www.guregipuzkoa.eus/wp-content/gallery/arantzacuestaezeiza/1145768.jpg] [accessed 10 June 2020]: pair of identical Romanesque baptismal fonts made of stone [type not specified] in the 12th-13th century, originally from the 'barrio' of Galartza [="Conjunto de dos pilas bautismales idénticas. The two fonts, if that is what they were originally, appear identical: a hemispherical basin with a circular base, all plain; they are raised on cylindical pedestal bases and a lower base or plinth decorated with ball motif at the corners; the 'bases' do not match the basins, the type of stone is different and they form an incongruent and incherent whole; they would not have been part of the original if these are indeed medieval fonts.
