Font Notes:
The font in use in the is church is probably of the 1660s, when the old church was demolished and the new one built in its place; it is very much a font of the period, consistsing of a small octagonal basin raised on a tall round-to-square pedestal nase, on a square plinth; the decoration includes a cherub and several animals on the basin sides, an angel, animals, floral and foliage motifs on the sides of the base. No cover present. [NB: the location of the font has changed inside the church; the relationship between the sides of the basin and base has also been changed [cf. ImagesArea]]
