There are two fonts reported from the old church at Norra Kyrketorp, one of which is at the Statens Historiska Museum since its acquisition in 1914. This one is described and illustrated in Roosval (1917), who suggests that [some of?] the drilled holes in it are not original but made when the basin was put to uses other than what the font had been originally made for as a liturgical vessel; Roosval suggests a date in the 13th century. It is also noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 950516F2] as a baptismal font of sandstone made by a regional hand in the 13th century. [NB: the shallow depth of the inner basin [10 cm] may suggest that the basin has lost some height at the top] [cf. BSI entry for Norra Kyrketorp No. 2 for the other medieval font in use at the parish church]
