Text: Dopfunt, rund, med trind fot (understenen fattas), af granit, 1 aln 8 tum hög, med rundbågar kring skålen; ligger upp- och nedvänd på kyrkogården. Oklart var den nu befinner sig; dopfunten i Hägerstads nya kyrka kommer från den gamla kyrkan, men är i sandsten."

The old font is illustrated in Antiqvarisk tidskrift för Sverige band 1, 1864 [https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Hägerstads_kyrka,_dopfunt.jpg] [accessed 11 April 2020]. Noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920721F1] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the early-13th century. Noted and illustrated in Ullén & Ljungstedt (2003) who show that the drain hole in the basin is off centre. The baptismal dish was made of brass in 1663.
