Noted and illustrated in the SHM’s database Medeltidens bildvärld [ref.: 920728F2] as a baptismal font made of sandstone in the late-12th century by the Arcadius workshop; one of the four figures on the basin sides is identified as a bishop; on the upper base a woman with a snake and a dragon is identified as a possible Earth or Luxuria; anothe figure on the upper base is identified as a bearded man holding a snake with a roped body; another is a reclining figure and there is also an animal head identified as a lion devouring a human. Noted and illustrated in Ullén & Ljungstedt (2003), who point out the presence of black paint remaining on the colums of the arcade around the basin sides; they also identify a dragon-like snake on the side of the base that has a male and female figure at the corners; this same source mentions also a new stone font of 1660 introduced to replace the medieval one.
