Church Notes: present church 1770s replaced a medieval (13thC?) building
There are two baptismal fonts now in this church, but we have no information on the one from the medieval church; of the two present fonts one is very modern, 20th-century, a plain hemispherical basin on a U-shaped base; the other font was still in use in 1908 [cf. ImagesArea] but is is now relegated to a space near the organ and the sacristy doorway [cf. ImagesArea]; it may well be the font of the re-built church in the 1770s; it consists of a small basin raised on a structure with openwork legs, and appears to be made of wood.
