Described and illustrated by Anna-Stina Julin, in Roosval (1917) as the basin of a medieval baptismal font in the SHM since 1872. Noted in Hallbäck (1971). Listed and illustrated in Medeltidens bildvärld [Föremåls-ID 920508F1] with date in the first half of the 12th century. Baptismal font consisting of two blocks, a round basin with almost vertical sides and rounded underbowl, raised on a round to square squat base; the basin sides are decorated with a running acanthus vine and a rope moulding below; the underbowl is plain but there is another rope moulding at its lower end; the lower base has a thick roll moulding and the corners of the square bottom have spur motifs on them. The drainage hole goes through both basin and base. No cover present.
