The entry for this church in CADW [http://cadwpublic-api.azurewebsites.net/reports/listedbuilding/FullReport?lang=en&id=2106] [accessed 8 February 2020] notes: "With the exception of the south porch the church appears to be of one build, probably of the early C14, and is almost all in a simplified Decorated style [...] The church had a major restoration in 1893, with changes in 1903, and another restoration in 1992 [...] There are two fonts, one free-standing and early medieval, the other recut and later." [NB: the re-cut font is listed in BSI as Trellech No. 1 -- the one described as "free-standing and earlier" probably reders to an object in the little lapidarium kep beneath the tower of this church; it is a square basin of a medieval design that is applied to a few fonts, stoups and domestic containers such as grain measures and the like; This particular one, given the shape and depth of the basin interior, may have been a holy-water stoup (or used as one). The Trelleck web site [www.lioninn.co.uk/About_Trelleck] reports the present of a Saxon font in the churchyard to the south of the church [NB: this, again, may be a reference to the object noted above].
