The entry for this parish in Whitaker (1823) states that the church was erected "in the great church-building era, the time of Henry I" [i.e., 1100-1135]; it mentions no font in it. The entry for this church in Historicv England [Listing NGR: SD7458169447] notes: "C15 tower, rest 1814, with c1900 alterations"; no font mentioned.
