Meyrick (1808) mentions the church here but not the font. Evans (1914) writes: "A new Font takes place of the ancient one, which was probably cast out when the church was 'restored' and enlarged about 1885." The entry for this church in COFLEIN [https://coflein.gov.uk/en/site/417698/details/st-gwynllens-church-nantcwnlle] [accessed 19 January 2020] notes: "The church was a parish church during the medieval period [...] The form of the medieval church is not known. It is thought to have probably been rebuilt in the earlier nineteenth century in the same location as its predecessor. [...] The church was restored in 1886"; no font mentioned in it.
