Font Notes:
Baptismal font of Bentheim sandstone consisting of a round, slightly tapering, basin decorated with a blind arcade of round arches with trefoiled windows inscribed, all the columns plain, without capitals and bases; plain underbowl chamfer, hexagonal and slightly concave; protruding roll moulding, also hexagonal, and pedestal base of the same shape, the sides decorated with trefoiled windows inscribed in a pointed-arch arcade; the lower base, also hexagonal is a modern replacement. The metal cover is modern, perhaps mid-20thC, and probably matches the baptismal dish inside.
