Additional Comments: the present font appears to be late-Medieval at the earliest; it appears to have a replacement lower base -- disppeared font? (the one from the 11th-12thC church here)
Font Notes:
Baptismal font here consisting of a cylindrical basin with a rounded underbowl, all plain, on a short round pedestal and a round-to-square lower base, the latter clearly a modern addition or replacement; the font itself doen not appear to amtch the date of the fabric of the church, and is probably a later replacement of the original 11th-12th century vessel. [cf. BSI entry Orna de Gallego No. 2 for the holy-water stoup here]
