Baptismal font noted and illustrated by Alberto García Roldán in Galicia Pueblo a Pueblo [https://galiciapuebloapueblo.blogspot.com/2019/05/santaia-de-chamin-arteixo.html] [accessed 6 October 2019]; it consists of a roughly hemispherical basin that has a large notch at the back of the upper rim, probably where the hardware of an old cover was anchored; there is a braid motif all around the basin side, and some additional geometric motifs (?) on the underbowl; the round pedestal base appears plain, any motifs there may have been on it eroded now. No cover present. The font here is not mentioned in the entry for this church in the Enciclopedia del románico [https://www.romanicodigital.com/sites/default/files/pdfs/files/a_coruna_Cham%C3%ADn.pdf] [accessed 1 August 2022]
