The object located outside, against the south wall of the church, by the west end, appears to consist of a roughly hemispheric basin on a quadrangular base, although there is nothing to indicate that the ptwo pieces belong together; the basin is in an atrocious stae of repair, badly damaged and covered in lichens; there is damage to several areas of the upper rim, with significant loss of stone; there appears to be a large groove down the inside of the basin which may indicate that at one point the medieval basin was modified by dividing its interior into two sections separated by a vertical partition, after the fashion of 16th-century French fonts. In any case the basin was taken out of the church and replaced with a later font.
