Font Notes:
The baptismal font here is noted and illustrated in the Enciclopedia del Románico en León (2002, 138): tub-shaped basin is made of a single block of limestone, and mounted on a circular stepped plinth or lower base; dated to the Romanesque period. This font is also noted and illustrated in Romanico Digital [www.romanicodigital.com/cedar/pila-bautismal-10869.aspx] [accessed 27 August 2019] in which it mentions a restoration of it. The tub-shaped basin shows evidence of having been heavily re-tooled; it rests on a circular lower base or plinth equally plain. The wooden font cover is round, flat and plain; modern.
