There is an entry for Buslingthorpe [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF0885/buslingthorpe/] [accessed 13 July 2019] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF0794585160] notes: "Parish church, now closed. C13, C14, 1835 restoration and rebuilding [...] All fittings are C19 except for the font which has reused octagonal bowl." The basin has been re-cut and mounted on a 19th-century pedestal base. The wooden font cover is also modern.
