Font Notes:
There is an entry for this Greetham [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF3070/greetham/] [accessed 25 May 2019]; it reports a priest and a church in it. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF3085170810] notes: "Parish church. C12, early C13, C14, C15, in the main 1903 when the church was restored and the chancel, vestry and porch rebuilt"; no font mentioned. Like the church itself the font is rather unremarkable, an octagonal basin, plain except for some graded mouldings beneath the rim, raised on an octagonal pedestal base with a single, much damaged thin moulding, and an octagonal-to-square lower base, the octagonal part a thick roll moulding; late medieval? Pyramidal wooden cover, octagonal and carved, with fleuron finial; pulley system in place to operate it. [NB: we have no information on the font of the Domesday-time church here]
