There are two entries for Minting [variant spellings] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF1873/minting/] [accessed 14 May 2019] neither of which mentions a church in it, although one of them lists "William the priest" as its lord in 1086. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF1871673453] notes: "Parish church. c1200, C15, 1863 restoration [...] On the floor below the northern panel is the cut down roughly hewn bowl of an early octagonal font"; the entry also mentions a modern, 19th-century font in use. There are two fonts in this church now [2018]: the one in use is located a the west enf of the nave and is modern, an octagonal basin with a rounded underbowl on a plain octagonal pedestal base and a moulde lower base, also octagonal. It has a wooden cover, pyramidal in shape, also octagonal. The old font, said to have been dug up from under the altar area, is an octagonal basin with plain vertical sides, rounded underbowl, raised on a short circular base; it is much damaged, as could be expected from a discarded and buried font.
