There is an entry for Revesby [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF2961/revesby/] [accessed 23 April 2019]; it reports two churches in it. The entry for this church in English Heritage [Listing NGR: TF2984161411] notes: "Parish church. 1891 by C. Hodgson Fowler in the Decorated style. [...] In the south wall of the tower a niche formed of reset early C13 mouldings contains a collection of moulded stone fragments from Revesby Abbey. [...] The disappointing font comprises a section of reused medieval moulded shaft with a cushion capital top." What the EH above does not explain is that the font here is said to be originally the pillar piscina from the disappeared church at nearby Revesby Abbey; it consists of quadrangular basin with two levels of trumpeted scallops on the sides, with a moulding between them; the pedestal base is made of clustered colonnettes with moulded bases, and the lower base is quadrangular and moulded; it appears to be monolithic. No cover present.
