Font Notes:
Baptismal font of stone listed in Palissy [ref.: PM45000352] with date in the first quarter of the 14th century and, at the time [1992?], in the rectory garden ["Provenant du jardin du presbytère."] A later entry in Mémoire [ref.: AP45W00411 / N° tirage 45W00411] shows the font restored (?) and installed in the church. The font consists of a wide cylindrical basin raised on a short pedestal base; the basin has roll mouldings at the upper rim and around the bottom; one side has a human head carved on it, bald and jug-eared; there may have been a part of the upper torso but a large hole was drilled below the head, probably at the time when the font served as planter in the rectory garden; there are V motifs on the sides as well; the pedestal base is noted in Palissy [ref.: PM45000353] as one of "Ces chapiteaux qui supportaient la cuve baptismale proviennent du jardin du presbytère [...] 13e siècle".
