Church Notes: late-13thC church with later modifications
Baptismal font of stone dated 1678 consisting of an octagonal basin with a protruding moulding at the upper rim, an inscription below; the underbowl has cherub heads and floral motids; the base is by putti -rather than angels- facing out with their arms linked. Brass cover of 1679, a low dome with a large pine-cone finial; counterweight pulley system. [NB: we have no information on the font of the medieval church here].
