The entry for this church in the German Wikipedia [https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stiftskirche_St._Materniani_et_St._Nicolai] [accessed 13 February 2026] reports a Baroque font with a font cover of 1677, as well as a reo-Romanesque forn of the 19th century: "Ein barockes Taufbecken hat einen geschnitzten Deckel von 1677 und ein neuromanischer Taufstein stammt aus der Restaurierungszeit 1863–1867." There are two fonts in this church: one is a late-Baroque piece, probably 18th-century; the font in use, located in the chancel, is, according to the parish web site [https://stiftskirche-buecken.wir-e.de/unsere-kirche] [accessed 24 February 2019] dated 1867 and carved with scenes from the life of St. Boniface. The other one, however, may fit within the BSI scope and belong tp the 17th century, as does the font cover over it .
A communication to BSI from Pol Herman (e-mail of 13 February 2025) suggests that the inscription which dates the font cover over the Baroque font to 1677 probably dates the font itseld; Pol Herman's message further includes a text from Jürgen Giszas, 20.
[NB: we have no information on the font of the medieval church here].
