There is an entry for Ossett [variant spelling] in the Domesday survey [http://opendomesday.org/place/SE2720/ossett/] [accessed 16 November 2018]; it mentions three priests and two churches in it. A font of 1713 "located in front of the pulpit" in this church is reported in www.ossett.net/pages/Holy Trinity_jpg.htm [accessed 16 November 2018]. Harman & Pevsner (2017) mention an old small octagonal font of 1713, as well as another one made of Caen stone, presumably of a later date.
