No individual entry found for Firbeck in the Domesday survey. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: SK5621688460] notes: "Church. Rebuilt 1820, north aisle added 1844, enlarged 1887 for Henry Gladwyn Jebb by E. I. Hubbard of Rotherham, tower added 1900"; there is no mention of a font in it. Harman & Pevsner (2017) report a font "Neo-Norman, arcaded, 1887" in the re-built church.
