The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF4753274024] notes: "Parish church. c.1800, restored 1881, chancel rebuilt 1912, 1953 restoration. [...] All fittings are Cl9, apart from the C15 octagonal font with plain stem,
quatrefoils with rosettes to the sides of the bowl." The entry for this font in the Society for Lincolnshire History and Archaeology [http://www.slha.org.uk/photogallery/?thistopic=Churches_InteriorFonts] [accessed 4 November 2018] notes: "Farlesthorpe, St Andrew, font. Of unknown origin, but presumably the base of the font pre-dates the present church (1800)?"; their photograph shows clearly that the basin and cover are modern, whereas the stem, lower base and probably the plinth as well are original.
