Scene Description: Source caption: "A scan from a medium-format transparency which I took at Creeton, Lincolnshire, England one winter morning in the late 1990s. It shows Creeton church (St Peter's) in hoar frost. This scan is in the Public Domain (however, I retain ownership and copyright of the original transparency and any higher-resolution scans derived from it). If you use the photo outside Wikipedia, a photographer's credit (Simon Garbutt) would be appreciated."

The entry for this church in the CRSBI (2018) notes: "However, the numerous Anglo-Saxon cross-shaft and grave-cover fragments found here argue for the existence of a pre-Conquest churchyard if not a church in Creeton." The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF0145919880] notes: "Parish church. Late C12, early C13, late C13, C15, 1830 chancel
shortened, 1853 rebuilding of nave. [...] Built into the fabric are at least 5 pieces of C10 Anglo Saxon interlace decorated stone. [...] All fittings and roof are 1853 apart from C17 communion table and the C13 tub font on circular base with moulded octagonal top."
