Scene Description: Source caption: "The church dates from the 11th century onwards, and was restored in 1871. There is a western tower, nave with north and south aisles and chancel. The tower has a battlemented parapet and pinnacles. The clock dates from 1871. There are several fragments of reused masonry in the tower walls including 12th century chevron moulding. The tower arch is 11th century. The nave has north and south aisles with two bays, the south aisle is Early English, the north being a 19th century copy. The nave and aisle walls have carved stone texts. The south doorway is 14th century, and is there are several windows in the south wall from this time. Most of the internal fittings are 19th century, as is the stained glass."

There is an entry for Burgh [-on-Bain] [varianf spelling] in the Domesday survey [https://opendomesday.org/place/TF2286/burgh-on-bain/] [accessed 14 October 2018] but it mentions neither cleric nor church in it. The entry for this church in Historic England [Listing NGR: TF2225186406] notes: "Parish church. C11, C13, C14, C16 and restoration 1871/2. [...] All fittings are C19 including stone altar rails, octagonal font and facetted ashlar pulpit."
