One of the objects, both fonts and stoups, collected in the cloister of the Cathedral; several of them, including this one, are of unknown or unrecorded origin, probably abandoned or disappeared churches of nearby hamlets. This one, which appears to have been originally wall-mounted [unless the back half has been lost] has a human figure on the front; a cleric, perhaps? the figure appears to be holding an object in both hands.
