Church Notes: known in the 9thC as 'Santa María de Carrea'; single-aisle Romanesque church much much modified in the 18thC; restored 1997-2004
Baptismal font consisting of a round basin with round underbowl; parallel mouldings around the upper sides, ribbed pattern below; the short round base is also decorated with a ribbed pattern. The surface of the basin appears to have been badly damaged and later repaired, some of it may be new stone. The flat cover is modern. Next to the font is a small damaged vessel of stone, possibly an old hloy-water stoup.
